It has been my greatest honor to work with individuals with disabilities for the last 20 years. I started my career in the field of social work, where I worked within the community, assisting people with obtaining all types of services, from health care, to education, to employment, to housing, and so much more.
I continued my career as a classroom teacher, working in a self-contained setting with students who had severe and profound disabilities. While teaching I was a strong advocate for my students and their families, striving for inclusivity in the educational setting.
I continued my career in education by becoming an Educational Diagnostician. While one of my main responsibilities was evaluating students and determining the need for special education services and supports, my greatest accomplishment as a diagnostician was appropriately identifying students and watching them blossom when provided with the proper supports.
I believe that EVERY individual can be successful, regardless of ability level!
